Professional Accomplishments

  • Named to the Top 10 Family Law Attorneys in New York State by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys.
  • Selected as one of Long Island\'s Top Rated Lawyers of 2014, 2015 and 2016 (ALM Legal Leaders).
  • Selected to New York Super Lawyers - 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
  • Served as a member of the faculty at Hofstra University College for Continuing Education
  • Lectured for the Nassau County Bar Association, Family Law for Public Awareness
  • Visiting lecturer at the University of Iceland Law School in Reykjavik, Iceland.
  • Lectured to the Matrimonial Committees of the New York County Lawyers Association and the Nassau County Bar Association on electronic discovery.
  • Appointed in 2004, 2009 and 2013 as a Referee by the Supreme Court, Nassau County in complex equitable distribution cases, and continues to serve as Referee to Hear and Determine all issues of discovery in the case of Etzion v. Etzion, a leading case in electronic discovery in New York.
  • Presented in 2014 to the Interdisciplinary Forum on Mental Health and Family Law on the topic of "Does Adolescent Brain Development Favor Substituted Judgment by Children\\\'s Attorneys?". The Forum promotes the interplay between law and psychology in child custody disputes.

  • Outstanding Defender of Victims Award, Crime Victims Political Platform
  • Listed in Who's Who in American Law: 2000-2001 Millennium Edition and
  • Listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
  • Honored by the Nassau County Matrimonial Committee for his scholarship and research in the field of Electronic Discovery, June of 2009.
  • Rated "AV", the highest rating of integrity and competence among attorneys, by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating since 1984.
  • Served as Examining Attorney in Mock Trial held in Supreme Court, Nassau County, for 2nd Year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows, Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, March, 2012.
